Layla Poet is an Australian womenswear label by Layla Kangisser, exploring the intersection of traditional craft and modern design. Drawing on her career as a designer in Australian luxury womenswear, a personal archive of found vintage textiles, as well as her diverse heritage spanning from east to west, she creates for an authentic woman of everyday moments, with small ready-to-wear capsule collections in natural fabrics and fibres.

Each piece is created with fluidity in mind, balancing romantic, feminine expression with modern silhouettes and thoughtful detailing. Sometimes the nostalgia takes over, but there will be technical details to ground it, or the design can focus on simplicity, but with a considered fabric or design feature to bring it to life.
